(L) The Divine Mercy image painted for Faustina in 1934
(R) the image by Adolf Hyla, in 1943
The Polish inscription at the bottom means "Jesus I trust in you"

The Year 1938
The First of January ...
When the clock struck twelve, my soul immersed itself more deeply in recollection, and I heard a voice in my soul: (63) Do not fear, My little child, you are not alone. Fight bravely, because My arm is supporting you; fight for the salvation of souls, exhorting them to trust in My mercy, as that is your task in this life and in the life to come. After these words, I received a deeper understanding of divine mercy. Only that soul who wants it will be damned, for God condemns no one.

Who does the inscription above say is trustworthy -- some church(es), or clerics, or scriptures?

Some quotes from people in our own times, who claim to have experienced "The Light Beyond":

"My doctor told me I 'died' during the surgery. But I told him that I came to life. I saw in that vision what a stuck-up ass I was with all that theory, looking down on everyone who wasn't a member of my denomination or didn't subscribe to the theological beliefs that I did.
"A lot of people I know are going to be surprised when they find out that the Lord isn't interested in theology. He seems to find some of it amusing, as a matter of fact, because he wasn't interested at all in anything about my denomination. He wanted to know what was in my heart, not my head."

"A good example of this is an elderly woman in New Hampshire who had an NDE after a cardiac arrest. She had been a very religious and doctrine-abiding Lutheran since she was a child. But after the NDE, she loosened up and became a more joyous person. When members of her family asked her to account for the change in her personality, she said simply that she understood God after her episode and realized that He didn't care about church doctrine at all."

(Though Storm is a pastor in the UCC, that book doesn't exclusively propagate some particular religion, such as Christianity: in its Chapter 9, Reality, he asked them, "Which is the best religion?"; they replied, "The religion that brings you closest to God." He asked, "But which one is that?"; they replied, "There are good people in bad religions and there are bad people in good religions. It is not so important which religion, but what individuals do with the religion they have been given. Religions are a vehicle to take you to a destination. The purpose of religion is to help you have a personal relationship with God.....
"God abhors the misuse of religion that creates divisiveness between people, that justifies violence, that promotes pride in self-righteousness. God is far greater than any religion.")

The video Ten Secrets of Medjugoriae from Marianna Soldo (YouTube, 1:45) has the statements: "Blessed Mary always said these things, don't talk about secrets, pray, because fulfill me like mother, fulfill God like father, don't have afraid of anything. She said that afraid have those who don't believe but we, like human being, we always talking about secrets, but don't think about future, don't think what will happen, will be God's will, think about your soul, think that you can go in front of the God tomorrow, and think about this, are you ready, or are you not ready, to go in front of the God?"
